Heinz Haller Executive Vice President, Performance Plastics & Chemicals

Heinz Haller is executive vice president of Performance Plastics & Chemicals. He is responsible for the businesses within the Performance Plastics & Chemicals group and leading the Company's long-term strategic agenda, driving corporate development opportunities and providing strategic counsel to the Chairman of the Board.

He is a member of Dow's Executive Leadership Committee, which is responsible for corporate strategy and financial performance. He also is a member of the company's Business Operations Committee and Management Committee, and serves on the Sustainability and People operational teams within Dow, and has executive responsibility for Dow AgroSciences, and the Company's activities in Asia Pacific.

Haller returned to Dow in June 2006 after spending 12 years outside the Company in a number of senior executive positions.

He first joined Dow in 1980 as a sales representative in Horgen, Switzerland and developed his career in a variety of marketing and commercial roles across several Dow businesses including Emulsion Polymers, Specialty Chemicals and Chlorinated Solvents.

In 1994, Haller joined the chemical distribution company, Plüss-Staufer AG, as Managing Director, a position he held for five years before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Red Bull Sauber AG and Sauber Petronas Engineering AG. In March 2002, he moved to Allianz Capital Partners GmbH as one of the company’s Managing Directors and remained there for four years until he rejoined Dow.

He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Dow Corning Corporation, and the Michigan Molecular Institute. He is a member of the Dow AgroSciences Members Committee.

Haller holds a master’s degree in business administration from IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland and earned a certification in the advanced executive program from UCLA, Los Angeles, California.
