Sharing the secret of softness

Since its introduction, the family of ASPUN™ PE Fiber Resins has offered unparalleled tactile softness and comfort for nonwoven and fiber applications. The secret? Among other things, our proprietary INSITE™ Technology. We’re excited to share ASPUN™ Fiber Resins with customers throughout the world, helping satisfy consumer needs for comfort, softness and confidence in their hygiene products. 

Processing

The ability to process efficiently across a wide temperature range (200-300°C) allows their use with many different polymers, including polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET).

Low melting temperature

Low melting temperatures, in comparison to PP, for quick and efficient bonding.

The next generation of spunbounds and spunblowns

Our most recent development, ASPUN™ AT Advanced Technology Fiber Resins, takes proven, ultra-soft ASPUN™ technology to new levels by enabling the spinning of monocomponent PE-based fibers and the development of high-quality monocomponent spunbond and spunblown nonwovens.

Their unique combination of processability, durability and cloth-like drape and feel makes ASPUN™ AT Resins an outstanding choice for use in hygiene wearables such as diapers, feminine hygiene and adult incontinence articles, as well as wipes.

Soft yet strong meltblowns

ASPUN™ MB Meltblown Fiber Resins enable softer, finer fibers that improve the softness and comfort of nonwovens while maintaining strength, durability and processability in composites such as SMS using bicomponent spunbonds and monocomponent meltblown fabrics.

These lighter, thinner fibers can also contribute to many other advantages, including:

  • Improved bonding to PP/PE bico spunbonds
  • Reduced noise/stiffness
  • Improved coverage
  • Better odor control
  • Enhanced gamma sterilization resistance

  • Comparable throughput rates with lower extruder and die pressures than PP.
