What is DOWSIL™ 335 Butyl Sealant Special Black?

A color matched primary butyl sealant for insulating glass in commercial and residential applications for a homogeneous color and aesthetics at the glass edge with increased temperature resistance. A one-component Polyisobutylene primary sealant, it is a solid compound which is solvent free and non-reactive. Temperature applied with conventional heated butylizers, it has good physical adhesion to glass and various warm edge and standard spacers, is compatible with Dow façade silicones and meets the requirements according to EN 1279 in an IG system.

Uses

Insulating glass units, double or triple glazed
Residential windows and commercial facades
High performance glazing systems, particularly where elevated temperatures are anticipated in warmer climates
