Gypsum Wallboard & Tape Joint Compound
Prepare smooth walls and ready for final aesthetic finishing.
Create smooth wall surfaces, no matter the temperature
Dow’s solutions for gypsum wallboard and tape joint compound play an important role in creating smooth and continuous wall surfaces which are ready for final aesthetic finishing with an architectural paint or wallcovering. In addition, our technologies for tape joint compounds help to prevent crack formation throughout the year as they enable your product to adapt to any movement of the wall resulting from thermal expansion and contraction.
TAPE-X™ Emulsion Polymer
This high-efficiency vinyl acrylic copolymer emulsion is designed for use as a binder in ready-to-use tape joint compounds. It exhibits superior tape bond adhesion and is compatible with cellulosic rheology modifiers, which helps enhance application properties.
WALOCEL™ MK 25000 PFV
A hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose with delayed solubility designed for use as a rheology modifier/thickener for tape joint compounds. It has a surface treatment that allows for a delayed dissolution. This product offers water demand, workability, open time, crack resistance and bond strength.
WALOCEL™ MW 40000 PFV
This hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose is very multi-purpose and was developed for cement-based applications, like cement-based tile adhesives and as rheology modifier for coatings. It has a surface treatment which offers a delayed dissolution.
