Low VOC capability

Dow’s Waterborne Acrylic Resins facilitate reduced volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions compared to solventborne technology. With a range of minimum film formation temperature offerings, formulators can achieve VOC levels less than 25 g/L. 

Corrosion resistance

Industrial coatings must provide adequate corrosion resistance for the target asset to withstand the elements, and Dow’s Acrylic Resins can assist with achieving high performance corrosion resistance for 1K and 2K primers, topcoats, and direct-to-metal finishes.

Silicone-based materials in architectural and industrial markets continues to be viewed as premium technology for high-performing coatings. Silicone resins and resin intermediates are used in heat resistant paint and industrial marine and protective coatings, coil coatings, and hybrid resin systems for premium topcoat finishes.

Solventless, room temperature cure-able silylalkoxy resins for high temperature and weather resistant coatings. DOWSIL™ 3055 Resin is a solventless, amine-functional silicone resin that can improve flexibility, thermal, UV, water, and chemical resistance of 2k epoxy coatings.
