Optimize the properties and long-term performance of concrete
With the right technologies, it’s possible to optimize concrete hydration and keep concrete strong over time. Dow’s curing and sealing products create a film that bonds to the surface and creates a durable barrier, while our hydrophobing treatment products can be applied either externally or integrally to reduce water and chloride permeability. This type of treatment is an excellent way to extend the life of bridges, piers, pavements, and other concrete infrastructure.

Concrete curing and sealing
When concrete is first placed, it’s important to keep moisture in. But once it has cured, the challenge is to keep moisture out – particularly when the concrete will be subjected to repeated freezing and thawing.
Beyond helping to keep this moisture balance in check, concrete cure membranes, cure and seal formulations, and sealers can each play a role in developing and protecting the long-term integrity of concrete materials.
