Ingredients derived from nature
Together with customers, we are advancing bio-based solutions for the construction industry by using ingredients that are derived from nature.
The Ecolibrium™ brand represents products from our WALOCEL™ Cellulose Ethers product family manufactured using cellulose from wood or cotton linters. These products are an inherently bio-based additive with approximately over 78% bio-based carbon content. Furthermore, the wood or cotton linters are sourced from certified sustainable sources, guaranteeing their renewable origin.

Improving the energy efficiency of buildings
The energy efficiency of modern buildings helps to reduce CO2 emissions and improve living standards. The most significant factor contributing to this is the reduction of the energy used to control the internal temperatures of buildings.
A Cool Reflective Roof Coating reflects solar radiation, which helps to reduce ambient air temperature and save on energy costs for cooling. This technology is best suited for renovations and on non-insulated buildings such as warehouses and factories.

Through an evidence-based approach, we are supporting our customers' efforts to reach their sustainability and decarbonization goals. This includes providing Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) with the Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) calculations for each of our products.

We are investing resources to decarbonize and optimize our own facilities through increasing our process efficiency, implementing innovative technologies, expanding the use of renewable power sources, and pursuing ISCC PLUS certification for some production sites. Our Methyl Cellulose and Latex Powder manufacturing sites are already powered by renewable energy, and we intend to transition additional sites to renewable energy in the coming years.
