Brake System
How can you be confident in your brakes, from mile 1 to 300,000? Engineered silicone elastomers help ensure gaskets, seals, boots, bellows and dust covers do what they're supposed to by providing good mechanical properties, tear strength and weatherability. We also provide an industry leading array of materials for chassis and brake related electronic controllers and sensors.
Brake Fluid
Solvent- based solutions optimize brake fluid for longevity and strength due to superior surface tension and high boiling points. No matter the temperature, our technology will help keep hydraulic brake components functioning safely and efficiently.
Butyl CARBITOL™️ Solvent
A slow-evaporating, hydrophilic glycol ether with excellent coalescing and coupling power that offers strong solvency and chemical stability.
Butoxytriglycol (BTG)
A low-volatility, high solvency glycol ether with excellent coupling properties. Used in drilling fluids, brake fluids, coatings and cleaners.
Steering
"Drive-by-wire" systems like electric power steering offer new levels of safety, energy efficiency, and simplified maintenance. Dow can help keep your EPS systems functioning at their best by protecting key components using silicone adhesives, conformal coatings and more.
Autonomous steering is also dominating next-gen vehicles. The smarter and more connected our vehicles get, the more protection they require – from heat, water and other damage. Solve those challenges at the design phase with silicone solutions that keep circuits reliable.
