Our Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) solutions
CARBOWAX™ SENTRY™ Polyethylene Glycols (PEGs) 3350 and 4000 Uninhibited are active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) produced to address the needs of the most stringent requirements of the pharmaceutical industry. These APIs are well-known in the treatment of chronic constipation and in the preparation of colonoscopies for colon cancer screening or other medical procedures. Functioning as an osmotic laxative, they offer a mild and effective treatment while minimizing adverse side effects often experienced with other laxative types.
High-quality excipients for various dosage forms
Excipients are inactive ingredients in pharmaceutical products. They allow active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) to be transformed into useable forms. Excipients play a key role in facilitating drug delivery, improving solubility and bioavailability, promoting drug integrity and prolonged stability, and enhancing patient treatment acceptance through innovative drug delivery systems. Excipients are also crucial in optimizing the manufacturing process and providing diverse product options with alternative routes of delivery or dosage forms.
Dow excipients participate in many pharmaceutical dosage forms: solid (tablets, gel capsules, suppositories), semi-solid (ointments, soaps, creams), and liquid (syrups, emulsions, suspensions).
Explore Dow excipients including polyethylene glycols (PEG), methoxypolyethylene glycols (MPEG), edetate disodium and propylene glycol (PG) that meet the requirements of the consumer health and pharmaceutical applications.
